Mounting a 12 volt in a portable

Just got the clam led light stick, along with the clam battery bracket... That bracket is junk. The Velcro is falling apart right out of the bag and it's just not a good fit for a 12v battery. Has anyone found another option for mounting a 12v in their portable?

I have mine in a small tackle bag, I run a 12ah batter and keep a few extra cords in the bag for cell chargers and such....When it needs charged just grab the bag out of the shack....

I've previously used the Clam brackets successfully, but without the velcro strap. I drilled two holes in the lip on each end of the Clam brackets and used a small rubber bungee strapped across the battery to hold it tight.

I don't know what battery you are using, but with the Clam bracket I just added a large piece of foam as a spacer (big enough to be a tight fit with the battery). With the foam installed the velcro secured the battery nicely.
