Wheel House Advice- Evaluating Criteria

livindadream27

Question

I am starting to evaluate wheel houses. It may take a while...

A simple question to you if you want to give input is,

What items would you consider or use to evaluate one wheel house to another? (Pretty open ended, but want to see what the list entails). Trying to get the whole picture for all the different options out there.

Thanks for your help.

Axle capacity, insulation type and amount, carpet or rubber, inside storage space, a sink is very useful, number of outlets, lights outside door side and opposite side number of windows double pane, alum or steel frame with linex type material. This is a few I found important.

Besides the obvious..........cost........the first thing I would look at is the frame. NO ANGLE IRON!!!! Make sure it's built from tube (Steel or aluminum) and not angle or flat iron.

The frame is the foundation and if it sucks, so will your life. Angle iron twists and bends and you don't want that.

Some guys like fancy, others like plain Jane interior. That's your call. You can not, however, have too much storage space and coat hooks. You'll be amazed at how much stuff you actually bring onto the lake with you and if you can't get it tucked away you'll be tripping over it all day long.
