Ice Castle Catch Cover Question

Hi everyone, quick question. Does anyone know if you can use the safety covers (vented covers) from fish house supply or any other site with the ice castles? Or do you have to use the ones that are sold by ice castle? I'm assuming that any would fit, but want to make sure before purchasing? These will be for my dad so I can't currently go and look at the type of hole covers he has. Thanks for the help

Only if you modify them. I have 4 of the ice castle version which snap in a little tight in my opinion. Then I have two from catch cover...the solid ones. (I see they have two kinds now, one is more flexible.) Drill 3 holes near outer edge of them and put 3 bolts in that stick down about 2 inches into the ice castle hole cover. (Stagger to bolts like a triangle) It keeps them from sliding off. Without that they are almost more dangerous then an open hole!

I do like the catch cover style more but you have to alter....
