bassNspear
i need your guys helpi have a ice castle as well and having major issues with my thermostat. when i set my house and want to start my furnace, i have to take the cover of the thermostat, slide it over to 70, then i have to touch the circle thinger and then it will fire. It will heat the house us for hours, and then all of a sudden i will wake up at 3 am and the house will be frozen because the thermostat won't kick in. I have to play around with the circle thinger and touch it to the little wire arrow and then it will kick on. But sometimes it will just blow cold air. Have to do it 5-10 times before i finally get heat again.so i am guessing the thermostat is junk, and needs to be replaced??????it is something that i have been struggling with for the last 2 trips so i think i need to buy a new thermosta

I was going to send my furnace in until I decided to take it out and test it on the bench. Worked fine when the wires were crossed. So I took cover off the thermostat and was playing around with it. I noticed that the magnetic area that is supposed to trigger the furnace to fire wasn't returning to the same spot every time. I just ended up changing to a digital one and have been good ever since.
