My old KFX700 was cold blooded as well. Adjusted the pilot jets and fixed the issue.

You might also want to look into the hoses on the carbs and the boot to the air box to make sure none of those are leaking or cracked.

Check the spark plugs to see how they're gapped/burning: white, chocolate or black/wet.

Last thing I can think of is valve adjustment.
