Honda Generator-Best Deal Available

I know this has been discussed in the past, but a quick search didn't yield the results I was looking for. Where can I find the best deal on a Honda EU Series 2000w Generator in the metro area? I see Northern Tool has a $100 gift card on a $1,000 purchase. If store sales are not supposed to be discussed here, a pm with prices would be appreciated.

I was in the same boat as you last week, I thought NT would be the way to go, but the Gift Card is online only, so you have to purchase it online, and the way I read it the Gift Card can only be used for on-line purchases. I went to Fleet to buy mine, there everyday price was $949 and I got a $50 gift card. I believe that sale has now ended. If you have an Acme store maybe see if they will price match, or go into Northern and see what you can work out with them, they will price match.

I can tell you from experience that Kraigs list is not going to be much help. Those things are like gold, people hold onto them forever. If you looked for 6 months you MIGHT find a deal on one. Otherwise you're just going to see old beat up ones for $600 or the occasional like new one for $800-900.

Those stores mentioned here that have them for $850 would be the way to go.

If any of you guys live near a Costco, you might want to check out their Smarter Tools generator the next time you're in there. My cousin bought one before the deer hunting season and used it for his camper. They have a Yamaha engine in it.

I don't know dump about generators, but my cousin does, and so far he's been very happy with it. I can't recall what he said he paid for it, but I believe it was somewhere in the $500-600 range.

Worth checking out the next time you stop into Costco to eat all the free samples!
