GSP4ME
There is a small lake in Blaine,MN that is in the Lakes Housing Development. I was wondering if anyone knows the name of that little lake. I was there this summer with the lady swimming and was amazed at the size of the Sunfish we saw. I will be out there Saturday morning with my new vex if anyone wants to come out and join me.Take care and Stay safeJake

icefisker
I used to live in Club West and the homeowner association would not let people ice fish on the lakes... not sure about in the Lakes development. My buddy did catch a 5 lb. smallmouth in the summer, and somebody told me they caught a 40 inch pike out of one of the lakes in the summer as well... they do stock the heck out of them i know that. I would be very careful if you are going out there as there is current and probably aeration.
GSP4ME
I am not sure how the home owners could keep you off of it as there is a public beach there. I will check into the areation issue that you mentioned. Thanks for the heads up and I will let you know how it goes
Pikestabber77
Ice is very very sketchy even in the middle of winter, especially if there's snow on the ice. There are spots all over the lake where gas rises up and makes open spots (have seen some probably 15x15 feet). These spots freeze over just enough to the point where they can support a a little bit of snow, so they are almost invisible if you don't know where they are. Also the areas in front and around the little bridges are usually thin too. Quit fishing these lakes a couple years ago because there just so sketchy. Also the fishing seems like it hasn't been as good since the carp really took hold in the last 2-3 years. Good little bass lake but the panfish are usually pretty wormy
