What would you consider safe? Had a few people tell me they have been out within the last week. Checked some ice last Saturday... Broke through with rocks, and there was about 6 holes somebody had already drilled. With the snow what should i expect?

I was out in the slush last night on a metro lake and it still had 4-5 inches of ice. with this cold snap coming in this weekend im sure the slush will freeze up but its going to create some really crappy ice that im hoping wont affect the long term ice build this year

I am on the northside of the metro and most of the lakes are hitting the 12 inch mark of ice. With that said 2-3 inches is white frozen slush. Not much for snow on the lakes, but please let the ice thicken up some before taking out the trucks. It is not worth dropping your rig into the lake, because you hit a weak spot or thin spot. Please be careful out there!!
