What is your usual target species?

I'm curious what the guys and gals on HSO fish for.

Are you primarily a panfish, walleye, northern or what kind of fisherperson?

Early ice, I like to go after a meal. I'll target 3 good perch to keep, or a couple walleye.

After I get a meal and one extra in the freezer, I catch and release most of what I catch. I like to travel and target wall mounters. How many do I have on the wall to date?

Zero.

So I've got a lot of fishing to do. Darn huh?

I'm looking for a:

46" Northern

33" Walleye

17" Crappie

14" Perch

Those numbers are all roughly a half inch longer than any of those species my rotten buddy Peter caught on the trips I guided, provided tackle, hell did everything but crank in the fish.

Northern pike trophy fisherman.

During the day I spear so i'm looking for Northern pike. When it gets dark i'm looking for the walleyes and suspended crappies in deeper water.
