Ok---the wife say's buy an electric auger. I've pretty much decided that it will be an ION. I do very little tip up fishing and like having my "ducer" in the same hole as my line. So---the question is 6 inch or 8 inch??

for you I'd say 8" for ducer and those big slabs you catch! Plus, you are more of a plop down and fish guy, not a run and gunner that might make the 6" more desirable. We'll have to get out one of these days.

i have the 8" its plenty big, but not too big. i nthink a 6" would get small quick with a ducer float
