Strikemaster bearing ?

Noticed a very fine gold powder like substance on the base of my auger where the bit attaches to the power head. My gut tells me shot bearing. Doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary when it comes to noise/play. Anybody have any idea what this is? Thanks in advance!

Yup. The "bearing" is really a large bronze bushing. No wobble or bent shaft? Plenty of grease in case? That's the only thing that will make it wear on the bushing and "file" it away.....
