Otter Portable

Two years ago I purchased one of the new Otter Magnum Lodge insulated. This is the blue camo shanty. My question is, is there any difference between the insulated blue camo, and the new 1200 pro shanty?

I like the looks of the new shanty versus the camo blue look. Other than the cosmetics of the portable, is there enough difference in the two units that would make me replace my camo insulated Otter for the new Otter pro 1200?

Thanks in advance for the info.

Harry

I don't even think there is added insulation, just a bit thicker canvas material. Unless you have the money burning a hole in your pocket, I'd keep the XT900. I was in the market for an XT1200 Cabin this year but came across a new XT900 with Ice Camo for $600 and snapped it up.

The slight difference in canvas wasn't worth the extra $250 to me, and I actually prefer the camo to the new colors so it was a win-win for me!

I think they added a couple more mesh storage pockets, a tad thicker canvas and a different color scheme. I am in the market my self. I looked pretty hard at the xt650 and the xt1200 last night. I honestly couldn't tell the difference in the roof material. If I had the xt900 I wouldn't even look. I sold my warn out old clam Voyager last year so I am pumped to get in a new Otter!
