I am considering buying an ION. Are they as fast as the strikemaster? How about slush in the hole, does it do a good job of getting the slush out like the strikemaster does? Thanks for the advise

They definitely aren't slow. They aren't faster than a Solo powered Strikemaster, but they aren't much slower.

I didn't have any problems with slush in the hole.

I don't own an ION myself but have used them quite a bit. I agree with Lip_Ripper Guy, they're not faster than the Solo augers but they really aren't much slower. You don't have to start them or let them warm up so that is definitely quicker. And I've never noticed a problem with slush from them compared to other augers.

I just ordered one yesterday. sold my pro4 on the List of Craig (made it out alive). I really wanted a lighter weight auger and gas motors to me have too high of owner's cost, where electric has almost none.
