ZachD
So I will be at Breezy Point for Christmas break I usually tip up fish and know where to find the Northerns and Bass there. Just recently am trying to chase the walleyes more. I don't know if I am bringing my sled or four wheeler so I chose a couple spots that are fairly easy to walk to (labeled on the map A,B,C). Think these would be a good starting point or is my time better somewhere else? Does Pelican lake have a good night bite? Ive caught most my eyes on there in early morning and have not had much luck in mid day. Any tips would be appreciated.
Sherpa
I took a look at the same area on the Navionics map and there is a lot more detail to be seen than your map shows. Especially in area C. You may want to look on the web app.

Fred_Bear
The feeding bite is going to be your typical 1 hour window around sunrise and sunset. They can be caught during mid day but it takes a lot more work finding them and getting them to eat, I'd concentrate on bass/pike/panfish during the days and walleyes in the mornings/evenings.Your best bet for early ice is to find a 14-17 foot weedline on a piece of mid-lake structure and fish the points/inside turns of the weedline/break. RiverChuckNorris
The $10 Navionics app for my smartphone may be the best $10 I've ever invested, so if you don't find a free one online, I'd suggest that. Christmas break probably falls on the end of "early ice" patterns (weed lines in 12 fow or less). That being said, I mights start by setting out 4+ tipups with suckers/large shiners on them for an hr or two as a check. If that isn't working (or only yielding pike) I'd move to a more mid-winter pattern. My priority is always fishing away from others. With that in mind, my number one spot, based on the below topo map and not a more detailed analysis, would be the finger in the middle of the lake. It has what looks like a 64' hole norht of it and bottoms out around 30 fow to the south. I'd start on the point (south side, drill a line from the top (10') to 100 yds out from where it flattens out to around 30'. I'd then work my way NE to the inside corner turn.Between A,B and C, I'd go C.
