Recovery is how quickly a camera can store the first picture and be ready for the second picture.

Basically if your camera has an 8 second recovery time, it snaps a picture and won't be ready to take another for 8 seconds. Depending upon the settings on your camera, thats not bad. I have my camera set to only take a picture every minute when there is something in front of it, so an 8 second recovery time wouldn't affect it at all.
