Have thought about it but can't ever get beyond a..... that would be cool while sitting on a couch but really seems like a lot of work type thing. Being able to afford the proper site design/structural material, as well as the heating and ventilation system, not to mention what to heat with seem to be a barrier in Minnie. But if you got the jing and the time would try catfish, crappie, and tilapia.

I've got pretty good crappie and catfish spots I can go catch them if I'm hankering for a meal. I'd worry that tilapia would grow too slowly or die in our winters. I'd like to do rainbows since our trout catching opportunities in the south metro are kind of limited, but worry the water would get too hot in the summer without an expensive cooling system.

I'm also at the, "That'd be cool stage." I'm a plan for 5 years then implement type. I'm not thinking anything huge, just a couple media beds and a dozen or so fish in an outdoor greenhouse with a heat sink. Maybe build a wind turbine or some solar panels to power any heater/cooler?

Was kind of hoping someone local had a system they'd let me visit or at least post some pictures. Oh well...
