Spearing on Grand

Thinking about putting the spear house on Grand this year anyone have any tips or suggestions they would like to share or maybe even spear urself out on grand? Any insight would be great. Thanks in advance guys.

my dad grew up on grand lake. back in the day there where biggins in there. sure there still are. just off the landing and a little to the west theres a bar...lotz of people fish that. pops told me to go beyond that closer to the road. I have seen fish when I have been out there but it gets a lot of spearing pressure. hope this helps.

Thanks Smurfy I def appreciate all the help I can get. I took the wife out for a little Sunday drive and checked out a few lakes and grand seemed to be the best for me. I can't wait to get out there and get to know it a little more. Just need some ice now! Lol

theres another lake in the area I have friends spear. its called goodner lake, might be an option. I have never been on it.
