boXCar JiggY
just downloaded the vex phone app. pretty cool an very user freindly. there is a T pod to cast or troll with a transmitter to ur phone or a T box that mounts in your boat that one has to purchase seperately. waiting to hear back if I can tke the T pod an just put it in the ice hole, if one can cast it or troll with it behind the boat then one should be able to set it in the ice hole wouldnt ya think. been waiting for this. Im sure the transmiter/transducer is as much as a fl8 an I could just as weel buy that but this is pretty cool
TruthWalleyes
They weren't made for ice fishing. Only open water applications. However, everyone is excited to use them on the ice. I'll bet they work fine, but likely not meant to work in the cold. We'll see.
acesinthehole
I was wondering the say thing! I could not find any info about an "ice transducer" just the bobber type and the one for the boat. If they can get the bobber thing to work you would think they could make a ice transducer with a float and not even need the extra thing on the ice. If they could do this i would buy one for sure! I'm already in the market for the camera and love the idea of both! Hopefully someone will have some info.
boXCar JiggY
Just got an email back from mitch, an he said like abouve wasnt intended for ice but the 150.00 Tpod would work if the ice hole was big enough. not sure how big the Tpod is by say that.. but the wide range from the tpod would capture alot of ice interference. not sure how much in comparison to myself keeping my ice ducer all the way up on my fl8. I get ice intereference but turn down the gain an just ignore the top anyway.
