While out to the DL area for a hunting trip, it got slow with bird movement, so my boys and I hit the water with the fishing rods. I have heard that the crappie is so elusive on this lake but I beg to differ. We found the jumbo perch and eyes along with that I caught 5 crappies found them suspended around 14-16 ft in 20 fow. was using pink/white tubes in panfish size 1/32-1/16th oz.

My boys were catching perch and eyes and all I could pull out of the water were these crappies, they were not the biggest but keepers in almost any body of water. Here is a couple pics of them. BTW its not to ofyen you see this lake like a sheet of glass either wink
