Rikkus
I didn't think much for using the iPhone for the GPS on the Lake. The screen could be too small, all tough to see. But, the Navionics iPad Version looks great! I downloaded it today & am excited to put it to work this season. The pricing through the App Store is quite a bit more than what they advertise on their HSOforum; $50 for the Program; + two Add-ons' that bring all to just shy of $100. This will be much better than the educated calculations from the Paper Maps,...Thx for advice,...
Sherpa
You can still use the cheaper iPhone version of the app on your ipad. I see it's too late for you but thought I would mention it.

KirtH
The Navionics App is hard to beat. I have the App for my Droid and My Ipad I added the Navionics + add on which on some lakes the detail is incredible, it costs a little more above the base version. Rikkus
Update for you Gents. I traveled up to Wausau, and I thought I would try out the iPad. The big screen is nice. But, using it through the iPhone as the WiFi Connection doesn't work at all, or very very slow. While up in a Wausau Hotel, I downloaded the iPhone Version. Much different results on the way back home. The updates were real time. And all seems pretty accurate.Having the program on the iPad is bad for looking at spots on the lake and getting the GPS Coordinates. I think this is better than the paper maps. The iPhone version will get you to the spot, for sure. Thx for the Info, All.
Swiftswamper
I love my navionics on my droid. I use it on almost all lakes in the state and this spring it worked great for Oahe in SD.
