we stayed there about 5 years ago. It was OK, we stayed there because it is a lot easier to get in than Jay Cook state park. If you are planning to spend your time in Duluth it will work good. If you are planning to spend it on the north shore there are camp grounds north of Duluth that would be better. Rick

There are also a couple campgrounds right on the St. Louis river in Duluth. One is called Indian point and the other is fond du lac. I have not used any of them but I have some friends that stayed at Indian point and it seemed pretty good. Great fishing in the St. Louis if you are bringing a boat.
