How are they hitting on Mille Lacs?

I had a buddy go up there last week and the fishing was terrible! Is anyone having success? Deeper rock piles? I will be fishing the south side by Father Hennipen State Park.

I've heard mixed reviews. I'll be heading up there for the weekend Friday. I'll most likely be hitting the SE side. I would think you could find fish out deep and in shallow. I'll be starting shallow and working my way out. Good luck!

How did the big pond treat ya Nick? It was super slow for me. The crazy wind didn't help. Got a few but that was it. Biggest was 19.5 and went 4lbs. Actually the biggest was 20.5" smallie that my buddy caught out of a small lake that we decided to hit to escape the wind on Saturday. I think I might have saw ya back in Isle Bay Saturday. I was in a red, silver, black triton.
