Is there any issues in using a car battery instead of a marine battery for your boat starting battery?
I know the marine batteries are tougher and will last longer. A friend is having issues with his rectifier/regulator failing and he is using a car battery for the starter battery in his boat. If working properly how many volts should the rectifier/regulator put out when going full throttle?

Nice to finally meet you tonight. Make sure you tell me who you are again next time you come in. I will probably forget.
Let me know when you are dropping in again and I'll make sure we have more of those beverages around!

Good luck.
