I hear that Navionics has a state specific card for Mn available. Any one else hear about this,any comments?? $99.......

It gives MN Premium mapping capabilities, it will have the same info as the Hotmap North Premium except for just MN. The Web app on the Navionics web site will allow you to preview the lakes you fish. Click on products top right look for web app

Do you ever plan on going out of state?

No-----just fish in Mn................boy it sure is more detailed then my lakemaster chip of the same lake that I generally fish

I have the new Navionics Minnesota download. It has many more lakes than the Lakemaster (which I also have) and the data is different on the lakes they share. I bought it because Lakemaster does not have many of the smaller local lakes where I like to fish.

It does appear that these smaller lakes are created with data based on the DNR map information and as such it is not perfect, but it does give an idea of the structure on the chart display while out in the boat.

Note: If you choose to buy the Navionics product you will have to download the data. Be sure to have a fast internet connection as it takes quite a while.

WHat sonar are you using? Yes Navionics has way more HD lakes, I read a stat comparing the 3 chips navionics smoked them in HD lakes

I have a Humminbird 788 ci

Dairyman you can log sonar with the Humminbird and make your own maps or improve maps for free with Navionics, pretty cool, free updates for a year

I picked up the map chip ----still checking it out. It does seem to be more accurate with depths,at least on the lake I have been fishing as of late. BUT----my "bird" will not be able to do the sonar graphing that I was looking for. I have to upgrade to at least the 800 series of Humminbird.

A blank, unlocked card. This looks like an awesome feature.

Interesting that on the company video that describes the Sonarchart feature, he is using an iPad. Hopefully they planning to add that feature to the iPad HD app soon. The founder talks about using it on the iPhone, iPad and android too.
