Isle Royal

I was looking to hit up isle royal and was wondering if and one had any advice? I just bought a 24 ft searay and got it all tricked out for laker and salmon fishing been out quite a bit from the Duluth area. Just Dont know the best time to plan a trip up there and if there are any forums or web pages the pertain to isle royal.

Anytime you can go after the fourth of July each year is a good time. Keep in mind that the weather is a critical factor in planning a trip up there. Don't get in the situation "that you have to get home" when traveling back to Grand Portage, that's when people get in trouble.

Its been a while since I fished up there but just east of the Rock of Ages lighthouse and on the SE side of the island are good spots to fish as any.
