I have a small 8 foot fiberglass boat that has two older paint layers that are chipping off. It needs to be repainted. What's the best way to get the old paint off without sandblasting? Any tips for painting the new coat? I'm not the greatest artist, so please nothing too complex when it comes to repainting.

Thanks.

Home depo! Carries strippers.Get the strongest one.Sometimes they carry marine stripper.Any of those will be fine.It takes multiple coats with a cheap brush. This stuff is no toy.protect your skin and keep a pail of cold water.I paint for a living and these strippers I've used on many jobs.I've stripped fireplaces, wood surfaces, ceramic, etc. This will be good for your boat too.The instructions say to use thin coats but I would go a little heavy on it.
