auger394
I have a king crow fish house wired for 12volt only. I am running Honda 2000w generator to charge batteries and run electrical appliances off the inverter connected to two deep cycles....Can I run a 1500w toaster oven off the inverter? I think I would need a 3000w inverter to run a constant stream of 1500w, but just seems like a lot of power being pulled from an inverter? I am sure the batteries will drain quick, but is it realistic to run a 1500w toaster oven via a inverter??? Any experience or advice out there? Thanks! mn50racer
Your dreaming... Just run it straight off your generator.
auger394
yes I may be dreaming. I would need to get shack wired for 110 then. I should be able to just run a heavy duty extension cord through the floor or wall, plug that into the generator and run the toaster oven. I realize this will only give me one outlet for 110, but is there any reason this is not safe or workable?
wanderlust
thats how its done. just make sure the cord is heavy duty and the shorter the better!
WalleyeChaser
Wiring for 110 is easy in an already finished shack. Just buy the boxes that mount on a wall w/the track to hide the wires in. Just use the right guage of wire if you want to run the toaster oven!
