LindellProStaf
I have a 2002 Polaris Sportsman 700. Recently I noticed my key was twisting a little. At the same time and maybe just a coincidence my gauges starting working erraticly. I tightened up my key thing and took apart the headlight housing and unhooked the wires and plugged them back in to make sure the gauges had a good connection. Wala the gauges worked great. Turned key on and off many times, went for little rides, worked perfect every time. Went out for a run today and the gauges never came on for the whole ride. Has anyone ever had this happen. I only have about 1800 miles on the machine.
LindellProStaf
I've been told that there are 3 resetting circuit breakers under the front hood area. One of them might have gone bad and that is why my gauges went on and off numerous times before not coming on at all. Will check them out and let you know what I find. aczr2k
Those circuit breakers are known for causing problems, no need to buy from polaris, you can get them at the autoparts store. Being somewhat sealed in heatshrink they get full of water and corrode over time. Also check the fuses, take each one out and use dielectric grease on the connections. I think they are under the hood also, can't exactly remember been a while since I had my O4.
LindellProStaf
Thanks aczr. I will check them all out. Also thanks for the heads up on where to get them. That will help a lot too.
