I'll be hosting the 2nd annual King of the Cats Whisker Run on Pool 2 on Sat 6/8.

This is an invitational, but I have a few spots left.

In a nutshell:

25 boats max

$25/person 2 persons/boat

Payout 40 30 20 10

2 biggest cats

Also a $10 optional big fish pot

4:30pm-12:30am

Yeah, this event was a blast it seemed last year. If anyone needs a non-boater/rider let me know. I might be able to jump if needed and if there is any section of the Mississippi I know it's Pool 2.

Fishing should be on like Donkey Kong by then especially on P2. If anything worth checking in on the boat launch.

Just wanted to remind everyone about the Pool 2 Catfish contest coming up on 6/8.  Current payouts are up $270, $200, $135, and $70 along with lots of door prizes. Also an optional big fish pot that is currently at $100.

 

The timing looks like it should be pretty good this year and I expect some nice fish to be caught.

Great event and good people. Had plans to fish in the area but with the "pending" nasty weather that never came those plans were scrapped plus I have been very sick this week due some cold/flue swishing through my family at the moment. Today was my day off and it was spent in bed but I feel I am on the downside of this iciness and fishing next weekend should be on the table.

Either way great to see a nice turn out Darren and it sure looks like it was a great event again. Kudo's to Jake Robinson and LeAndra Smith and the other winners also.
