Post Fogging Boat Motor

Recommended Posts

So last year when I started up my boat in the driveway I had tons of smoke come out from the fogging I did the previous year.

I thought I had my boat far enough outside and had no clue what was going to happen when I started my motor. Well the smoke shot straight out and filled my garage up. You could barely see if you were walking in the garage. You can laugh now if you haven't already.

Anyways was that normal to have that much smoke? I've never seen that happen to any of me neighbors.

How do you usually get the fog out? I'd rather not smoke out the neighbors or my wife. Well maybe the wife but..........

Mine is a 200HP motor and I thought I was supposed to do it as part of the winterizing.
You are if the manual says that you are. My 2009 Suzuki does not recommend fogging. I haven't done it once with this motor and it starts just fine.

Yes, the excess fog is normal and depends on how much you put in last fall
