You'd be surprised how much dirty carpet will clean up.

As far as the bow seating, based on what you've talked about I'd suggest against it. I kills your rod storage and you'll never use it (I rarely do and I have two little kids). The rear jump seats are MUCH more useful.

Here is something that I don't think was brought up yet. I think both boats are under power. I've been down that path and I will not go there again. I'm just saying, once you load the boat with family and fun you would be thinking more about an 18'er with 125hp. I'm not sure what the max rated power was, but I think it was more than 125hp or 115 for the Lund. Also keep in mind the motors of that era don't have the same bunch as the motors of today. So before you fall in-love with one, please test ride and if you do fill it up to the max with weight.

After all of this.....I walked from both boats. I ended up finding a 2004 Crestliner 1850 Sportfish in really good shape with a merc 2 stroke....The motor is my least favorite part of the rig....but the other two were carb 2 strokes also....I figured the 2004 should be a little more reliable...spent a little more, but nice boat and newer than both of the rigs I was considering and had a 24 v trolling motor and an Elite 7 HDI....good to go. Thanks for all of the input.
