At a fraction of the diameter of the flouro, it's ability to float is quickly negated by a crankbait with a lip.

Of course that depends on what diameter of lines you are using too. I guess I would need to see some testing to see at which point going down in diameter offsets the bouyancy. In my real world usage I think I get deeper with flouro than with braid.

I have fished atleast 15 different fluros and at the end of the day I would say the #1 thing with fluro is do not overfill your spool and #2 is to use line conditioner generously. After spending from $10 to $40 a spool (120-200yds) I would say those 2 things are more important than brand.

That said I use Hi-Seas and sunline sniper.
