rbs
I had all my stuff stolen last winter and there are some good prices right now...clearance. I am looking at the Strikemaster pro lazer and the lazer mag. The lazer mag is 42cc 2.5hp and the pro is 52cc 3hp. I guess I just cant decide if 10cc is worth 120 bucks or not. Also I have never owned a lazer and am wondering about re-opening holes. Any advice would be great, I am ordering on Friday. Thanks!
dan z
lazer blades are not going to last very long at re opening holes. I would suggest getting the pro with the lazer blade and buy a chipper when going to re open old holes. It takes a mere minute to switch the augers out. I have a 224 8" and will drill right next to old holes I never re drill old holes.
dougger222
I ran the 10in Lazer with 2.5hp Solo this Winter for a while and that combo can really punch some holes FAST.Like the above poster mentioned and I'll second that notion, Lazer bits don't open old holes very well. As far as cost my friend bought a 3hp Solo and 10in Lazer bit brand new a month or so ago from a retailer for $325.
gonehunting
I purchased the Lazer Pro with the Solo motor and have never looked back. I have the 8"lazer bit and a 10" chipper bit. I use the 10" bit on Lake Winnipeg and it is like a knife through butter. Best auger I have ever owned. Anyone know of any on clearance anymore?
