Japanese Quail

Any one ever use these birds for dog training. I believe they also go by the name Courtenix quail or something like that not sure on the spelling. I have a line on a good number of birds but need to know about them

I had some Courtenix quail last summer for dog training. They didn't fly very well. It was more of a hop than anything. They reminded me of bumble bees flying. And they're NOISY birds. If you have close neighbors take that in to consideration. They called day and the night. Finally traded them for some Chukar to keep the peace at home

thanks for the info. Itold the folks I wanted to see them fly first. I've got a100x150 bird pen that should help to guess we will see
