SD summer ATV trip

I am planning to take the family on the obligatory trip to Mt. Rushmore, etc in early June. I will be taking the wheelers and planning to camp or cabin for a week. I have been looking at the campgrounds and trails in the Black Hills National Forest. If anyone has any experience riding in the area or campground suggestions, please speak up!

Make sure to bring a GPS! The wife and I rode out there about 5 years ago and I was overwhelmed at the amount of trails we were able to access. I heard that many were going to be closed so I dont know if it still that way. Either way, I ride quite a bit but with out the GPS I'm not sure we would have made it back easily. Also, we found that the weather changed very quickly while we were out and a partly cloudy day turned stormy and rainy without much notice and we got drenched. Bring some rain gear and things to eat and drink and have a good time!

We found some very nice and fairly inexpensive cabins located right near trails by Deadwood but I cant remember the name. I'll see if the wife remembers and post it if she does.

We had a great time and plan to go back some day.
