strikermaster leaking

I have a few years old 2 hp solo gas auger with very little use and this weekend i fired her up for the first time this year and found it was leaking gas.

After i got home i did some looking and found it coming from the air vent.

Any one every had this happen and found out why it went bad? also could someone point me to a good place to buy this- Thanks

If you mean for the gas cap, you can take that screw off and add a small rubber washer or o ring to seal it. You can probably find it on eebay, or you can definately find it at strikemaster in big lake.

I noticed I had something similar with the leaking gas but I found one of the two lines coming out of the tank had worked its way loose. I just jammed it back into the hole in the tank that it was close to and haven't had a problem since.

This vent is located behind the air filter so there is no gas cap vent.

I called and found out they replaced this one with a red air vent due to the one like mine leaked over time and they said a new one would fix this.

Good to know they realized it needed fixing and came out with a better product, great job Strikemaster

Also check to make sure or vent or gas lines haven't broken off inside the gas tank. Mine had.
