R38 insulation

I am looking at a bigger wheel house for next year. I am now looking at the True North Ice Lodge. The specs say it now has a new extreme weather package with R38 insulation.

I called a dealer and I was told the studs are 2x4 and the insulation is fiberglass. How is it possible to get a R38 value using fiberglass insulation in 2x4 walls? Not sure if I believe the dealer.

Does anybody have more info about this insulation package or know how they achieved the R38 rating? If anyone owns this house how do you like it?

I may just email the manufacturer at some point.

I own the Salem ice Cabin same thing just different stickers. My understanding is that r38 has foil on each side of the insulation. I love the unit! What model are you looking at?

r38 is not possible in a 2x4 wall with foam. foam is r-7 per inch 7x3.5=24.5

only way r38 could be achieved is in a 2x6 wall

I suggest you do that straight away since they're the one making the claim and in the best position to support (or not) why they're saying it.
