Hey Grebe, did your MD tell you it was a sciatic nerve problem? When he mentioned "cortizone" he was probably talking about an injection that would have you up and around very quickly. Then if you wanted some PT yoiu could of course do it.

Have had a variety of back troubles and several episodes of pinched sciatic nerve. Thats the kind that puts you right down on your knees, like when you left the chiropractors office. Keep it in back of your mind-it could get ya again...but not if you are careful how you LIFT and what you LIFT. And the worst thing to do is LIFT and twist at the waist...like lifting and swinging something into the back of your truck or boat or snow mobile or........

No need to ask me how I know all these things.
