Power head is loose on Jiffy 30

fivebucks

Question

Has any one had this problem? The whole power is loose and will turn back and forth about 1/4 inch or so. It still works fine but I think it is a matter of time... I looked at the schematics and there didn't seem to be any one bolt to tighten. Maybe the shaft key wore out. Any ideas before I tear into it blindly looking? Thanks.

I think the power head is bolted to the gearcase. You have to pull the gearcase part to tighten the bolt inside going into the head. If it was just a loose head on the motor I don't think the motor would even run! wink
