Duck-o-holic
I see a few of you are getting out and gettin' some of those late honkers. Anyone else out there having any luck? How about anywhere else besides the South East zone?? We hunted south central Minnesota this weekend, and found a few birds. Also wanted to let you late-goose chasers know that the DNR is looking for goose samples from birds shot in the December hunt. The MN Waterfowl Association has donated prints, and there are even Gander Gift Certificates donated, all as prizes for a drawing held for those that contributed samples. They are wanting the head/neck of the geese shot, as well as the tails of the birds. They head/tails should be kept together for each bird, but seperated from each other to assist in aging and determining bird substrains.Contact your local DNR to find where the bird parts can be delivered. There were articles in both the Sunday Star Tribune, and in one of the recent hunting newspapers (Outdoor News).Good Gunnin'!!!Duck-o-holic
