Been a tough winter so far... All streams have been crystal clear that I've been fishing.. low.. makes for really tough fishing.. as if winter wasn't already tough enough.. now they can see you around the next two bends before you even see the run... but i've been able to pull a couple here and there

I've had a little bit of luck so far. I had found one stream that had been a bit off in color, which was really helping the bite IMO. However, that stream is now crystal clear and is back to being tough like all of the others. The weather so far this winter hasn't been too bad though. A few more months and we'll be fishing big hatches and 60* afternoons!

at one point a couple years ago, I held licenses for Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa. But never really fished in Minnesota enough to carry one. I'd take the guys from my office from time to time trout fishing on the creek behind the office; but one of the guys I used to take out passed away, so there went a lot of motivation to fish there.

I was thinking about going to Iowa, but ice fishing is so much fun lately, it's hard to pick and choose. Especially when Iowa is 35 minutes and ice fishing is like 3 minutes.
