Flipnripem
Really looked at the eliminator blinds and need one. Anybody use one now and like it, or dislike it? Is there another option with the quality and durability?
Ozzy169
FlipI personally use a Avery Finisher blind. Very nice, haven't tried any other brands, but don't have to, Avery has my vote!!------------------Get 'er done
Guest
Flip,Have used one once.I borrowd my buddies finisher blind and had problems. The outline seems to stand out if youre not in tall enough grass. I think standing cornstalks would be alright. We were in a plowed wheat field and had geese flaring every time. One thing we did to help was put sillouetes around it to hide it. I know g'eye pilot had the same experience. I am not entirely sold on them yet, but my buddies seem to swear by them. These things rock when it comes to rain snow sleat or anything a goose hunter can encounter. Plus your dog can sit in there with you.I would like to try hunting out a finisher blind. I think they have a lower profile.I am looking for a used goose chair. If anyone has one for sale shoot me an e-mail.
g'eye pilot
I've tried most of them, including R.I.P., and recently Final Approach. With seasoned birds, you need to take the time to add some extra camo. Otherwise the birds will consistently flare. I like the doors on the Final Approach model. Otherwise I've had just as good of luck with the goose chair type models. Although when the weather gets sour, indeed the coffin style offers more comfort. I guess you have to decide how much money you want to invest vs. how much use you'll get out of it. Good Huntin'.

Guest
Final Approach Eliminator blinds rock! My two other goose huntin partners and I have killed nearly a thousand geese over the past four seasons with our Eliminators. If you weigh over 150lbs I would go with the Pro Guide model. This model also comes with side slots to allow easy flaggin. All models come with stubble straps so you can grass up your blind with whatever kind of vegetation your huntin in. This allows you to become virtually invisible. The only other blind that I would hunt out of would be Fred Zinks Finisher blind. This is also a good "lay down " blind. Both are extremely comfortable and fowl weather proof! Good luck finding a blind and Good Huntin!!!
Flipnripem
Guy`s, thanks a ton for the info. I kind of had my mind made up but needed some reassurance. Gooser what do you mean by under-over 150lbs? I`m at 220 and 6-4. And what about the x-lander, It would be nice to strap it on my back for a long hike. With some land owners now day`s driving is a no no. I`ll walk for a hot field. Thanks again. Flip
Rainman
I hunted with a guy that was 6' 10" and he said that the finisher was the only one big enough for him. It is an awesome blind for the money!I hunted out of a friends Eliminator and didn't really care for it.
Guest
What I meant by 150lbs is the style of blind you'll need. I'm only 150 so I fit well in the original Final Approach Eliminator. You should go with the Eliminator Legacy. You might be able to get by with the Eliminator Pro Guide Series but since your a big guy I would suggest the Legacy. You'll have plenty of room for your gear and on the cold days even a small heater. Just my opinion! Good Luck. Shoot em in the Lips!!! Flipnripem
Hey thanks again fellas. I picked up the eliminator and going to set it up in the living room tonight. I don`t think the wife`s gonna let me bring the corn stalks in the house. Happy hunting. Flip

Flipnripem
Memories, nothing like the present. Fluff up a cushy pillow and a footstoole to hold a frosty beverage a remote and your set. It is my new bed until I finish that honeydew list this winter!
