No floor heat

Recommended Posts

I drove my wifes 2006 Ford Fusion with a 3.0L and approx 125K miles on it. I noticed while I was driving my feet were getting cold and there was no heat or air coming out of the floor vents. It seemed that all the other modes worked, just not the floor vent. I know the hvac doors are driven by motors, does anyone know which one I'm having problems with? If so where is it located on the hvac box?

not to sure because it is a tottaly different vehicle, but every time this happens in my superduty, the vacuum line is off on the 4x4 somewhere, usually on the passenger side hub on my truck...

So, Possibly a vacuum issue... but no idea if there is a vacuum system on the cars or not

Is this an Automatic temp control system? If so, the system doesnt let the blower run on the floor, until the coolant temp reaches a certain tempeture, so it isnt blowing cold air. It may have a bad temp sensor for inside.

Best thing to do is to bring it in and have the codes pulled, regardless if it is auto or manual. If the system isnt operating correctly, it will set a code.
