We have fought long and hard to get the MnDNR to recognize and document look and release in the state of Minnesota. Especially in creel studies... there is a place for catch and release in their creel studies but no place to document look and release.

I finally saw some creel studies the other day where the MnDNR actually documented look and release along with catch and release and harvest statistics.

Without you guys practicing responsible harvest of our Minnesota northern pike and also speaking up, being vocal and getting look and release counted; I doubt any of this would have been documented.

Catch and Relase, Look and Release, along with proper harvest of northern pike are cornerstones to proper northern pike management in Minnesota.

Good job all of you who not only do the right thing, but make sure the MnDNR knows we are doing the right thing.
