Walley or crappie spots in polk county?

Hey all! Im new to fishing the area and was just wondering if anyone knows where to find some walleye or crappies? Not lookin for your seceret hot spot but a general idea of where what to use and how deep and time of day. Thanks!

If you are targeting walleye lake selection will probably be the most important step. Generally the larger lakes offer the best opportunity (with the exception of Bone/Deer which don't have walleye). From what I've heard there doesn't seem to be a real pattern to where the fish are biting. Target an area that will allow you to move from shallow weeds, down along a break, and into deep water. I'd punch a variety of holes and move around until something bites, as the fish don't seem to be all that tight lipped right now.

I fish a fair amount in the Balsam Lake area. I like Balsam for numbers, Half Moon for size and also keep an ear out for hot bites going on Bone and Wapo. Walleye are purely a bonus fish for me.

Balsalm I have always had good luck! Cedar is Ok can be spotty at times and Little Butternuts been alright for Crappies.
