Guest
Unfortunately I have been unable to get out since opener, agreement with the wife, So I am wondering if the Woodies & Teal are still around the area. Also have the mallards picked up yet? Are there any geese still around? I will hopefully get out 10-18, might try a weekday off, but no one around here(cities) to go with.Thanks-Broncosguy
Borch
Yes they are still around(woodies and teal). If you do some jump shooting of small ponds, creeks and drainage ditches you'll see many of both. Mallards are starting to flock up. Geese are around in great numbers(Although it seems the the city population has doubled in the past week).Very slow this weekend on the pond I hunt. Just so much water. If you plan on duck hunting this weekend stick around at least till 11 am. The pheasant hunters should move some birds off the smaller hiding spots as they hunt for rosters. The hunting should just get better with a few more cold fronts and some cold temps up north. Good Luck!

I hunt a private slough in kimball area. unfortunately unable to bring anyone on as it is a friend of my wife's uncle who allows me to hunt there. Borch
I hunt Mud Lake just South of Grand lake. I'll be off for a couple of weeks between family committments and a fishing trip. I Like late season better anyways. Hope the birds are flying for you. Things should get really good once the small stuff freezes up.
