I would personally spool it up with a turd.. and flush it.

OR if I was forced to fish with it... 3 lb Gamma Copolymer which has about a 2 lb diameter.. rock solid.

WOW ! that was about as suttle as a hockey puck in the face . 3lb sufix for me.

Hahaha. Did you have personal issues with it or were there mechanical problems

haha just trying to add a little levity.. No I personally do not buy into the 13 fishing hype.. Firstly i am a pistol grip fisherman and frankly do not like the idea of having a spool rotating on the side where I hold onto other fly reels.. i use religiously the Okuma SLV-2/3 and the main differences between this and all the new straight line reels is that there is a cage surrounding the spool that can be held on to.. Eagle Claw, 13 fishing and any and all other types hitting the scene as of today are not able to be fished that way. again just personal preference. Good luck! Noodles.

Too each their own. I personally love my Clam Ice Spooler for all around use, and love the BB for indoor use. Not aure if it is just mine but it gets stiff outside. Pulled up quite a few fish on each last week on LOW. More than my fishing partners. It definitely tames the line spinning.
