Best portable for spearing?

How are those hub style portable for spearing out of. I bought a 4x6 collapsible but the dam thing is so heavy I don't want to move it off my lake now so I was looking at those hub style for spearing other lakes.

Lots of guys use hub houses and like them.

I'm headed to the lake shortly to try my QF4 and see how it works. Needed something that 4 people could fit in.

The hubs are all we have used the last 3-4 years for portables.

Quickfish 3 all the way unless like MJ said you need more room than go with a 4

do you have to add any fabric to the quickfish to make it darker or is it dark enough to spear out of right out of the box?

I spent the day spearing from my Quick Fish.

I really liked it.

It could have been a tad bit darker but it works great. It has two windows in the roof slope that i'm going to replace with some solid material that velcroes in.

I set mine up with a full floor with a 30x48 center hole. 4 of us sat in it and had plenty of room.

I have a clam tcx voyageur with the quilted top and put a blanket on top then throw the chisel and saw on top of the blanket to make it dark enough.

the QF3 is fine as is, theres a place online thats outta st. paul that has the QF3 insulated version for $240. Its plenty dark enough as long as you have a floor. You can cut a big hole and easily fits 2

The shapell 6000 IH is a great hub 6x6 I picked mine up as a factory refurbish for $149.99 and wrote them when I cracked a pole they sent me six free, great company here in Michigan, I add split shot to the two vent covers to keep them down better, that works great and its a cheap fix.
