new marcum noisy?

hi wife bought a marcum vx1 pro for herself when we turn it on its very noisy. i have the same one and its quiet is this ok.

Used my new Lx-5 today and it was very quiet.

I would return it and get a replacement a.s.a.p.! It should not be noisy!

First check to see that the mounting knobs on each side of the unit are tight though.

cliff thanks for your help i checked the knobs they are tight will return. i'll get another one. wifes bummed but i told her will get another one thanks cliff

The wheel isn't aligned correctly. That's a manufacturer adjustment. Exchange it is the only fix.

Got a new LX5 year ago, it was noisy. Brought it in, they said for some reason brushes were dirty or bad, can't recall. They fixed and it is still quiet today, about 7 or 8 ? years later. Good luck.

My lx-5 was making noise last year. I stopped by marcum and they took it and had it fixed in about 15 minutes while I waited. It was a temporary fix though. I turned it on this summer after charging battery and it was noisy again. I called Marcum and they had me send it in. This time they replaced the whole head unit for free(minus my cost for shipping it in.) Nothing but great CS with these guys.
