Teal setups?

Do you guys bother with teal decoys, or do you just stick to mallards? I've never really hunted any water that held lots of teal. However as I was scouting over the weekend thats all I saw teal teal and more teal, lots of mallards to. Looks to be a good opener.

most hunters with an early teal season just use a spread of hen mallard decoys.....from the air, the hen mallards look like teal......
I learned this on one of the duck hunting forums i frequent. i wish we had an early teal season. possibly next year if we get a 45 day season, and they decide to make it a split season.

I add about 1/2 dozen teal to my large decoy spreads purely as confidence decoys. I dont know if they actually help but they surely dont hurt any. I never had noticable problems decoying in teal to any tpye of decoy spread.

I use teal dekes when they are in the area...It really mixes up the sizes of birds like in real life...
